On April 19 at 7 p.m., the concert “Rebirth” by violinist Daniil Bulayev and the chamber orchestra “Davinspiro Camerata” will take place in the Great Guild.
As “Delfi” informs Bulajevs, listeners will be offered a diverse program where they will be able to think about life’s questions, think about the eternal, go on a soulful musical journey. Pianist Agnese Egliņa, cellist Guna Shne, vibrophonist Andrejs Puškarevs, clarinetist Anna Marija Kubecka, violinist Daniils Bulajevs and chamber orchestra “Davisnpiro Camerata” will take part in the concert.
The first part of the concert will feature Max Richter’s string quintet “On the Nature of Daylight” from the album “The Blue Notebooks”, a protest against the 2003 invasion of Iraq and violence in the world, followed by Dmitri Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony Op.100a, which is an 8th string quartet overture for string orchestra. The composer dedicated it to the memory of the victims of fascism and war, but from Shostakovich’s letter to his friend Isaac Glickman, it can be concluded that it was also written as his own epitaph.
The program also includes Artur Maskat’s composition “Midnight in Riga”, in which Daniils Bulajevs will play with cellist Guna Shne, vibrophonist Andrejs Puškarevas and chamber orchestra “Davinspiro Camerata”. At the end of the concert, the program includes the music of maestro Raimonds Paul from the play “Odesa, the charming city”. It will be the premiere of Andrej Pushkarev’s arrangement performed by Daniil Bulayev, Anna Marija Kubecka, Andrej Pushkarev, Agnes Egliņa and the chamber orchestra “Davinspiro Camerata”.
