The United States announced a new $400 million in military aid to Ukraine on Friday.

According to a statement released by the White House, President Joe Biden has ordered “up to $400 million for Department of Defense defense goods and services, as well as military education and training, to provide assistance to Ukraine.”

This is the third aid package for Ukraine since Congress approved additional funding in late April after months of delays. The first aid package was one billion dollars, and the second – six billion. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned on Thursday that his country was facing a “really difficult situation” in the east, but said a new US arms shipment was imminent and “we will be able to stop them”.

According to officials, the package includes HIMARS systems and missiles for them, as well as artillery, anti-aircraft and anti-tank munitions, armored vehicles and other weapons and equipment.
