Another witness who reported on the defects of “Boeing” planes has died

--

Dean lived in Wichita, Kansas, where Spirit AeroSystems is located. According to the newspaper, Dean was 45 years old and led a healthy lifestyle. Two weeks ago, Dean’s aunt, Carol Parsons, said he went to the doctors complaining of breathing problems.

Dean was diagnosed with pneumonia and a severe bacterial infection, she said. He was treated first at a hospital in Wichita and then at a clinic in Oklahoma, where he was rushed by helicopter. However, his condition worsened, sepsis and gangrene developed, and both arms and both legs had to be amputated. Two weeks after being hospitalized, Dean died.

Dean testified in a lawsuit against the shareholders of Spirit AeroSystems. He said that in 2022 he discovered gross violations in the production of the Boeing 737 MAX. The management of the company, as Dean testified, ignored the violations he found, and he himself was fired. Dean viewed the firing as retaliation for his remarks and filed a lawsuit.

As previously reported, at the beginning of March, John Barnett, the former head of Boeing quality control, who also repeatedly criticized the company’s production standards, was found dead in South Carolina.
