Tornadoes have killed five and injured about 100 people in the US states of Oklahoma and Iowa, authorities said on Sunday.

Four people, including a baby, have died in Oklahoma, Hughes County Emergency Management said.

The tornado damaged buildings, overturned cars and buses in the center of Salfera.

“The extent of the damage is hard to believe,” Gov. Kevin Stitt said during a visit to the city.

In Salfera, 30 people were injured, including several who were inside a bar when the tornado hit, the governor said.

State hospitals have reported about 100 injured.

More than 20,000 people in the country have been left without electricity.

The middle states of the US have experienced several tornadoes since Friday.

Iowa authorities said Sunday that a man who was seriously injured in Friday’s tornado has died.
