The President of Ukraine stated that last winter the defenders of Ukraine managed to resist the attack of the occupiers, but it was hampered by the lack of ammunition. Zelensky indicated the time of the upcoming offensive, but did not specify the direction.
“We need not only to prepare for this and not only to stabilize the situation – sometimes the partners are very happy that we have done it – but that is not enough. We need help now,” said Zelensky.
According to information provided by “CBS News”, Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian army is currently not ready to defend itself in an upcoming attack. The president emphasized that Ukraine needs “Patriot” anti-aircraft missiles and artillery shells the most.
Germany has reportedly announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, including drones, demining equipment, ammunition, vehicles, weapons, camouflage equipment and a satellite communications system.
The new aid package includes, among other things, 14 Warthog all-terrain vehicles, 120 millimeter rounds for Leopard 2 tanks and 4,000 155 millimeter rounds.
Ukraine will also receive 14 VEKTOR drones, 30 RK-35 drones, as well as five drone jamming systems and 180 RF 360 drone detection systems.
In addition, the announced aid list also includes “Patriot” missiles, “Bronco ATTC” command vehicle, 70 infrared cameras and 20 “Marder 1A3” infantry fighting vehicles.
