The White House on Thursday called Russian leaders “dung dealers” in connection with their efforts to link the terrorist attack at the Moscow concert hall to Ukraine.
“My uncle used to say that the best dung dealers often carry their samples in their mouths. Russian officials seem to be pretty good dung dealers,” White House national security spokesman John Kirby told reporters, denouncing Russia’s “nonsensical propaganda.”
The Russian Investigative Committee announced on Thursday that the investigation has “confirmed data that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack received significant sums of money and cryptocurrency from Ukraine, which were used in the preparation of the crime.”
The committee claims that after “working with the detainees” and studying the technical devices taken from them, “evidence of their connection with Ukrainian nationalists has been obtained.”
It has already been reported that on Friday in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, armed attackers stormed the Crocus City Hall concert hall and killed at least 139 people. About 200 were injured.
The “Islamic State” group claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack. Western security experts believe that the Afghan branch of this organization – the “Islamic State – Khorasan Province” group – is behind the attack.
