Nikita Tszyu will defend his Australian Super Welterweight boxing title when he faces off against Danilo Creati at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Wednesday.
The Nikita Tszyu vs Danilo Creati boxing match will be the main event of a stacked card in Sydney, which starts at 6:00 PM AEST.
Tszuyu and Creati’s ringwalks are scheduled for 8:00 PM AEST while the Tszyu vs Creati main event bout is expected to start from 10:00 PM AEST.
Son of former world champion boxer Kostya Tszyu and brother of Tim Tszyu, a former world WBO super welterweight champion, the 26-year-old Nikita started his pro boxing career in 2022 and holds an undefeated 8-0 record, including seven knockouts, to date.
Southpaw Nikita picked up a dramatic fifth-round stoppage victory over Dylan Biggs to come into possession of the Australian Super Welterweight title in Newcastle in November last month and will be defending his belt for the first time against Creati.
Creati holds an 8-1-1 record in pro boxing with his only loss coming at the hands of Michael Zerafa in 2022. His last fight against Marcus Heywood last month ended in a draw.
The undercard also features some big matches with Jerome Pampellone facing undefeated Libyan Malik Zinad in a light-heavyweight IBF eliminator bout. Australia’s Linn Sandstrom will fight Argentina’s Clara Lescruat for the WBA World Super Flyweight title while Mateo Tapia and Keiber Gonzalez will exchange blows with the vacant WBO Global Middleweight title on the line.
The WBA Oceania Super Welterweight title is also set to be decided in an all-Australian battle between Benjamin Hussain and Mason Smith. The prelims will also feature some top regional pugilists in action.
