“The suspect told the police during the interrogation that he was a victim of humiliation, and this information was also confirmed in the police’s preliminary investigation,” the law enforcement officers said.

The suspected boy was transferred to a school in Vantaa, a suburb of Helsinki, at the beginning of the year.

As previously reported, after the attack on Tuesday, the boy suspected of shooting ran away from the school, but the police detained him in Helsinki.

Parents of school students told reporters that the attacker opened fire in the classroom. About 800 students between the ages of seven and 15 study in the school.

A day after the shooting, candles and flowers lie near the school, mourners remember the dead and the wounded. The attack shocked the Nordic countries.
