Canadian ice hockey players enter the semi-finals of the world championship

In a repeat of last year’s final, Canada beat Finland 4-1 (1-0, 1-0, 2-1).

Canada opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a goal by Jack Quinn.

In a similar game, Samuel Blaise scored 2-0 in the 31st minute, and Michael Kerkon scored 3-0 for Canada in the 43rd minute.

While the first two periods were a similar battle, in the first part of the last period the winners shot much more at the opponent’s goal.

However, in the 57th minute, changing the goalkeeper for a field player, Tema Hartikainen scored 1:3.

With Finland changing the goalie again, Tyler Toffoli opened the scoring with just over two minutes left in the game.

In the winner’s goal, Samuel Montebult saved 27 shots, and on the opposite side of the field, Emil Larmi managed 27 of 30 shots.

The USA defeated the Czech Republic 3-0 in the first game of the day in Tampere.

In the first game of the day in Riga, Germany beat Switzerland 3:1, while Latvia beat Sweden 3:1.

Before the semi-finals, the teams will be seeded based on their results in the group stage.

It is already known that Slovenia and Hungary will leave the strongest division, and next year Poland and Great Britain will be among the top 16 in their place.

Last year, the Finns won the world championships, beating Canada in the decisive match.

The World Championship, which is jointly hosted by the Finnish city of Tampere and Riga, will take place from May 12 to 28.
