Romania, which last participated in the elite division in 1977, defeated (3:2) the South Korean team that started the competition brilliantly, but continued unsuccessfully.
The Koreans made 13 more shots on goal (30-17), but fell to three opponents’ fast attacks. In the 15th minute, the puck saved by the goalkeeper Jeonseun Lee was sent into the goal by Robert Gliga, at the end of the second period, after a mistake by the defender Hyoseok Chee, Romania’s lead was doubled by Oto Sandor-Sekei.
The Koreans opened up a two-goal lead in the 54th minute and took the lead shortly thereafter, but squandered it, allowing Romania to slip away on the fast attack and Balaž Peters scoring the decisive goal with a wrist shot.

The Spaniards, who got out of the second division last year, have stayed in the first division for the first time in the history of their national team (they failed to do so in 2011), beating the Dutch (1:0) in the decisive game.
The Spanish hockey players were superior in this battle, and deservedly so – the southerners made twice as many shots (30-15). At the beginning of the third period, 21-year-old “Jaca” striker Adrian Torralba used the majority.
