In July, it will be a year since Meta’s latest app, X’s competitor Threads, saw the light of day. So far, the app has boasted a fairly stable increase in the number of users, which is also confirmed by the numbers. The head of “Meta”, Mark Zuckerberg, when informing about the financial results of the last quarter, revealed that the number of active users of “Threads” reached 150 million.

Since February, the number of active monthly users of the “Meta” microblogging app has increased by 20 million. This proves that “Threads” continues to grow steadily. The biggest interest in this app was right at the beginning, when it collected 100 million users in the first week, but after that, the engagement was observed to decrease. However, it seems to me that Threads users in Latvia are very active, and there is interest in this app in every way.

Zuckerberg still believes that Threads could one day reach the one billion user mark. It’s hard to judge yet, but Threads beats the most popular microblogging app, X, by some metrics. For example, Threads has more daily users in the US than X. A small win for the Meta app came recently when Taylor Swift joined to promote her latest album.

It should be noted that Threads is currently a unique Meta app in that it is ad-free. Therefore, the company does not yet receive direct revenue from Threads.
