First, the Ukrainian defenders need artillery shells, and for the first 18 months, the US, which is now lagging in support, was the main supplier of artillery ammunition to Ukrainian units. Ukraine’s second biggest need is the Patriot air defense system and its missiles.

The media writes that doubling or tripling the number of “Patriot” systems could help the Ukrainians regain control over the front line in the air, as well as reverse the disturbing trend of massive and bloody Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian cities. And the third type of weapons that Ukraine needs is armored vehicles, and here we are talking about tanks and armored vehicles.

On the night of Thursday, Russia once again attacked Ukraine with drones. In Zaporizhzhia, drones crashed into private houses and people were injured. Explosions were also heard in Dnipro. Kharkiv was also affected in the attack. Yesterday, Russia dropped aerial bombs on this city for the first time since 2022, resulting in both injured and killed people.

Speaking of support for Ukraine, the German Ministry of Defense has announced that the country will hand over 10,000 artillery ammunition units to Ukraine and this should happen in the next few days.

Ammunition will be taken from the Bundeswehr arsenal.

There is also news on the drone front, namely, the “Reuters” agency reports that the engineers of the British company “Evolve Dynamics” are developing technology that could protect Ukrainian intelligence drones from Russian electronic warfare systems. This is further evidence that countries are not only literally supplying Ukraine with drones, but are also working to make them better.

On the other hand, “Bloomberg” agency reports that the USA is currently participating in negotiations with Turkey to increase purchases of explosives from Ankara. Thus, the US hopes to boost the production of artillery shells.

Citing unnamed officials, the agency writes that the supply of explosives would be critical to the production of NATO’s standard 155mm projectiles and could potentially triple production. And French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecorne has said that his government plans to review military production in the country and increase capacity. France’s main priority is to arm Kyiv with high-tech precision-guided bombs and modern artillery units.

The head of Ukraine’s Central Intelligence Agency, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Russia already knew about the preparation of a terrorist operation on its territory. Budanov claimed that the information about the terrorist attack first appeared in Syria, but from there it traveled to Moscow. As Budanov said – let Russia not tell at all. that in a strange way it all happened out of nowhere. According to Budanov, Russia itself sowed chaos in the country and confidently believed that it would be able to control it.

According to the analysts of the US “Institute of War Studies”, the Russian authorities will intensify their rhetoric about possible threats from the West and Ukraine after the terrorist attack in order to gain more public support for the war in Ukraine. The Russian Investigative Committee and the General Prosecutor’s Office already announced yesterday that they will consider the request of the Russian State Duma to investigate the financing and organization of terrorist attacks directed against Russia by America and the West.
