On April 25, the Ogre Central Library hosted the monthly regular work seminar of Ogre district library employees, which was held in a special atmosphere of the Library Week, looking back at what was accomplished during the past work season, as well as commemorating work anniversaries.

On April 25, colleagues were honored for their time spent in the library industry, love of work and immeasurable energy:

  • Janīna Metlāne, head of the Information Resources Department of Ogre Central Library, who has worked in the library industry for 45 years,
  • Māra Melne, the librarian of the Ikšķile city library, who has worked in the library industry for 35 years,
  • Līksma Dzelme, chief bibliographer of Ogre Central Library, who has worked in the library industry for 25 years,
  • Lielvārde library librarian Lāsma Gabrāne, who has worked in the library industry for 25 years,
  • Solvita Zeļģe, librarian of Ogre Central Library, who has worked in the library industry for 15 years,
  • Kristīne Ansone, the librarian of the Ķegum city library, who has worked in the library industry for 10 years,
  • Suntažu parish library librarian Aiga Deguna, who has worked in the library industry for 10 years,
  • Dace Rempe, manager of the Ikškile city library, who has worked in the library industry for 10 years,
  • Anita Zaica, the librarian of the Ikšķile city library, who has worked in the library industry for 10 years.

The educational part of the work seminar was conducted in lectures and classes led by physiotherapist Agnes Žukova, heritage crop movement enthusiast Sandra Stabinge, teacher of yoga and mindfulness practices Dana Lusena and essential oil specialist Ieva Mariņa.
