This year, the start of the spring season schedule coincides with the national holidays, so passengers are invited to pay attention to the running of trains on regional routes in the direction of Liepāja, Valga and Gulbene. Trains scheduled for April 29 and 30, which otherwise run on Fridays, trains that normally run on Sundays have been canceled on May 5, while trains scheduled for May 1 and 6 have been canceled.

The train schedule published on Vivi’s website and mobile app, which shows the schedule 10 days ahead, already includes the mentioned changes.

At the same time, we remind you that on May 4, the Independence Day of the Republic of Latvia, members of large families and families with children or adults under the age of 24 with disabilities will have the opportunity to travel for free on all train routes. A free travel ticket can be obtained at all “Vivi” ticket offices or on the train at the conductor’s controller, upon presentation of the Latvian Honorary family cards “3+ Family card” or “Honorary family”, an identity document (ID card or passport) or a pupil’s or student’s card.

A valid “3+ Family Card” or an “Honorary Family” certificate and an identity document (ID card or passport) or a pupil’s or student’s card must be presented both when purchasing a train ticket and to the conductor during the journey.
