Ogre region 3rd grade Olympiads in Latvian language and mathematics

It was held in Ogre region for the second year Latvian language and mathematics Olympiads for 3rd graders of the primary school stage. 16 schools in Ogre region expressed their desire to participate, while we got the Olympiad works this year by making friends and sharing with colleagues from primary schools in other regions. This year, on April 17, Ogre Centra elementary school hosted our large group. A total of 44 participants took part in both Olympiads.

During the Olympiad, teachers had the opportunity to discuss the current affairs of their field in a separate room over a cup of coffee. When the biggest and most responsible work was done – the Olympiad works were written, the participants recovered their strength at lunch. After lunch, Olympiad participants went to the Ogre Central Library to relax in the inspiring children’s section of the library while the teachers corrected their work.

Quite smoothly, working side by side, the Olympiad works were corrected and the winners were determined. The awarding was expected, which took place in the big hall of Ogre Central Library with loud ovations, applause and tapping of feet. As it was emphasized at the award ceremony, all the participants who participated in the Ogre District Olympiad are already winners, as they were nominated as the best from their school. All participants received thanks for their participation, winners of prize-winning places also received diplomas and their teachers received thanks for preparing students for the Olympiad.

We are sure that the primary school stage Olympiads will be held next year as well, we just have to guess – where?
