The Ministry of Culture (KM) has announced a competition for the positions of three board members of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet (LNOB), according to the announcement in the official publication “Latvijas Vēstnesis”.

We are looking for a board member in artistic matters with the competence of the chairman of the board, a board member in administrative matters and a board member in financial matters.

All candidates are required to have an impeccable reputation, higher education, fluency in the national language and at least two foreign languages, at least five years of experience to professionally fulfill their duties on the LNOB board, as well as knowledge and understanding in the field that may be responsible for the specific position.

Applicants for the position of board members will be assessed for the competences provided for in the relevant regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers, the most important of which will be team management, strategic vision, orientation to achieving results, as well as decision-making and responsibility.

Board members receive monthly remuneration from 7,047 to 7,830 euros before taxes.

Applications for the competition can be submitted until April 26. Each applicant can apply for only one board member position.

Currently, Egils Siliņš, Inese Eglīte and Sandis Voldiņš are on the board of LNOB. All three positions were confirmed in the fall of 2019 through competition.

LNOB is a state-owned SIA, whose capital shares are held by KM.
