Thursday from From 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., a flash event will take place at the Freedom Monument – the unfurling of the large-sized “Latvia NATO-20” flag, in which everyone interested is invited to participate. The National Armed Forces Headquarters Orchestra will give a musical performance during the event.

Later at At 12.40 a flower-laying ceremony dedicated to the visit of Admiral Rob Bauer, chairman of the NATO Military Committee to Latvia, will be held at the Freedom Monument, in which the Minister of Defense Andris Sprūds (P) and the Commander of the National Armed Forces Lieutenant General Leonids Kalniņš will take part.

In case of favorable weather at At 12.55, a low flyover of allied air force fighters is planned over the Freedom Monument, demonstrating the presence of NATO’s Baltic Airspace Patrol Mission in our region.
