A collaboration with the folk-hiphop musician Mister for the Balandini family group

The group “CanZone” released the song “Horizonts”, which was made in cooperation with the folk-hiphop musician Mister from the group “Ospiedumi”. A peculiar work with an interesting video version of it – that’s it in a nutshell.

At one time, some of the members of “CanZone” studied philosophy together with Jānis Škesteras (aka Mister) and Edgars Zilberts, the musician of “Nospiedumi” group, in the same course at the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the LU, so the creation of such a collaboration is not accidental. “Accordionist Rolands gave his assessment to the first full-fledged solo studio recordings a million years ago, as well as musically participated in the first folk-hiphop composition “Spring”. This song is the beginning of the creation of the group “Ospiedumi”, so cooperation with “CanZone” in a joint performance was not only logical, but also personally significant,” says Mister.

The authors of the song’s music are “CanZone” (Dagnija Millere-Balandīna, Raivo Millers, Raitis Balandīns, Rolands Zelčs, Oskars Krūklis and Artūrs Slaviks), and the lyrics – Raivo Millers, Jānis Šķesteris (“Mister”). The recording was made under the supervision of sound engineer Modras Skaistkalnas.
