This weekend, from April 26 to 28, the first such large-scale “Season Opening Event” is expected at the LIDO Recreation Center. Every day, visitors will be delighted with various surprises, activities, workshops, orienteering game with great prizes. On Sunday, the culmination of the event awaits LIDO guests – a wide concert program with several performances for different tastes, where the group “Citi Zēni” will also perform at the end.
LIDO Recreation Center is one of the most popular places for spending free time among Riga residents and tourists, where it is possible not only to have lunch or dinner with family and friends, but also to enjoy a wide range of entertainment options. Taking care of residents’ quality recreation, LIDO organizes the opening celebration of the summer season with various activities and musical performances, inviting guests and their families to celebrate the approach of warmer weather and to be together. Participation in the events will be free of charge, while the restaurant and the Beer Cellar will work as usual, offering customers both a traditional meal and street food.

The central event of the celebration will be a concert that will take place on Sunday, April 28. The concert certainly promises to be magnificent and suitable for groups of different ages, as the composition of the participants is expected to be very diverse – on stage will be the children’s vocal ensemble “KARAMELES”, the only marching drummers’ ensemble in the Baltics “Drumline Latvia”, Latvian pop rock group “Nova”, illusionist Edžus, group “The Other Boys” and many other performances and special activities for the whole family. The event will be hosted by Roberto Meloni.
Throughout the weekend (also on Friday), visitors will be delighted by a wide range of entertainment: musical fountain show, “Family interactive game”, wheel of fortune, creative workshop, amusement park “LIDOLANDE”. Inviting you to get to know the LIDO Recreation Center better, guests will be invited to try their hand at a specially created photo orientation game – finding the indicated objects, the most successful will receive prizes – one of the LIDO gift cards worth 50 euros. Children and other animal lovers will be invited to meet the new inhabitants of the “Mini Zoo” – rabbits, silk chickens and goats. On the other hand, in the “Creative kite workshop” you will be able to make your own flying paper kites.
