The capture of the cities of Rubizhne, Severodonetsk and Lysichansk of the Luhansk region is the last success of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine, Oleksiy Arestovich, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, said in a conversation with Russian human rights defender and publicist Mark Feigin.

“The attack in the Luhansk region is the last success of the Russian army in Ukraine. This means great success. Maybe [vēl] can capture a village. I just know what’s going on in the Russian forces. Lisichansk, Severodonetsk and Rubizhne are medium-sized cities. They (Russian forces) occupied it in 90 days with a large number of soldiers, lost a large number of people. We simply retreated from Lisichansk,” said Arestovich.

He noted that Russian forces may still capture some villages, but will not capture the bridge over the Severskii Donets River.

“Let’s see how they will try to take Sloviansk and Kramatorsk,” added Arestovich.

It has already been reported that the Ukrainian troops left Lisichansk without suffering losses on Sunday. As a result, Russian troops have occupied the entire Luhansk region.
