As informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday, Braže participated in the meeting of the development cooperation ministers of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, which focused on the situation in Ukraine and the plan for Ukraine.

Braže pointed out that support for Ukraine is a priority in the coming years as well. The Minister also emphasized that her first foreign visit as Minister of Foreign Affairs was to Ukraine, because it is very important to express unwavering support and solidarity for Ukraine, including support in the reform process. The minister emphasized that Ukraine should be given all the necessary support to help it win the war and move towards joining the EU.

The EU Foreign Affairs Council also held discussions on the current situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and on the provision of humanitarian aid to the population. The provision of support for development cooperation between the EU and member states in complex and unstable regions, especially in Africa, was also discussed.

On March 18, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the plan of Ukraine, which provides an opportunity for Ukraine to receive EU funding. The plan envisages support for Ukraine’s budget and business development, as well as the introduction of reforms and the promotion of EU integration. The plan envisages reforms in several areas, for example, public administration, agriculture, energy.
