The Emergency Medical Assistance Service informed the State Police about the mentioned fact. The man was taken to a medical facility, but he died of his injuries on December 19 in the hospital.

In May 2023, the police arrested a woman born in 1940 on suspicion of committing the aforementioned crime. She had not previously been caught by the police.

The investigation revealed that on December 17, 2022, the man had come to visit the woman and consumed alcoholic beverages. At some point, due to circumstances that have not been clarified for the pre-trial investigation, the woman inflicted serious injuries on the man by hitting him with a blunt object, most likely a frying pan, at least 15 times in the head area.

The criminal process is qualified for the infliction of grievous bodily harm, which was the cause of the victim’s death due to the negligence of the perpetrator. The law provides for deprivation of liberty for a period of three to 15 years for such a crime.

The suspect was also placed on a security measure that is not related to deprivation of liberty.
