“More billionaires than ever.” “Forbes” presents the list of the richest people of 2024

There are now more billionaires in the world than ever before: a total of 2,781, which is 141 more than last year and 26 more than in 2021, when a new record was set.

They are also richer than ever, with a combined wealth worth $14.2 trillion, up $2 trillion from 2023 and $1.1 trillion from 2021.

Two-thirds of the members of the list are worth more than a year ago, but only a quarter have become poorer.

Most of the total comes from the Top 20 richest people, who have increased their combined wealth by $700 billion since 2023.

The largest number of billionaires comes from the United States – 813 billionaires with a total worth of 5.7 trillion US dollars. China remains in second place with 473 billionaires worth $1.7 trillion, followed by India with 200 billionaires.
