No two NBA teams have undergone as much roster turnover as the Memphis Grizzlies and Detroit Pistons. The two teams will meet for the second time this season on Monday (6 pm, Bally Sports Southeast) at Little Caesars Arena.
The Grizzlies won the first meeting 116-102 on Dec. 6. Because of the aforementioned roster turnover for both teams, only three of the 10 starters from that game are expected to play.
That number could shrink to two if Pistons guard Cade Cunningham doesn’t play. He is questionable due to left knee injury management.
Desmond Bane scored a career-high 49 points in that first meeting, but he’s out against the Pistons while recovering from back soreness.
Memphis has lost seven of its past eight games and three straight. The Pistons had an eight-game losing streak before beating the Washington Wizards on Friday.
