On March 20, the court heard a case in which two men were held criminally responsible – one for murder with a greedy motive and theft, and the other for aiding and abetting the murder with a greedy motive, and announced a summary judgment in which both defendants were found guilty, and the perpetrator of the murder was sentenced to 18 years in prison. years and a supporter of murder – with deprivation of liberty for 13 years.

At the same time, the court made a side decision, with which it was established that two witnesses had given false testimony.

The decision has been sent to the investigative body for pre-trial procedural actions.

According to the indictment,

the murdered man’s grandson was one of his two heirs.

Believing that the grandfather is going to sell his real estate and is also cutting down the forests he owns, thus significantly reducing the grandson’s inheritance as an heir, the man decides to kill the grandfather.

The murder was committed with a hunting weapon registered in the accused’s name – a shotgun.

The murder was committed through the kitchen window by shooting the victim in the head.

After committing the murder, the defendant entered the victim’s residence and stole his wallet.

During the commission of the murder, the second accused covered the killer, performing work duties in his place in the security company.

Using a work car, he met the man who shot his grandfather at a pre-arranged place, where he received no less than 140 euros from him.

In addition, later, in order to hide the traces of the crime committed by the other accused, the supporter of the murder burned the stolen grandfather’s wallet in a stove at his residence.

The prosecutor is satisfied with the sentence imposed by the court and does not plan to ask the court to prepare a full sentence.

On the other hand, the other persons involved in the process can submit a written request to the court for the preparation of a full judgment within ten days from the day of the announcement of the abbreviated judgment.

If such a request is made, the court will prepare a full judgment, which can be appealed within ten days.
