“Red Bull” pilot Max Verstappen won the Miami “Grand Prix” qualification of the Formula One (F-1) world championship on Saturday.

The current world champion completed the lap in one minute and 1:27.241 seconds.

Two “Ferrari” drivers Charles Leclair (1:27.382) and Carlos Sainz (1:27.455) finished behind him.

Verstappen’s teammate Sergio Perez was fourth (1:27.460), but the top six was completed by both McLaren drivers, with Lando Norris (1:27.594) fifth and Oscar Piastri (1:27.675) sixth.

Both Mercedes drivers, George Russell and Louis Hamilton, will start the race from the seventh and eighth positions, Nico Hilkenberg (Haas) from the ninth, and Yuki Tsunoda (RB) from the tenth.

Former world champion Fernando Alonso achieved only the 15th fastest time.

Verstappen had also previously won in this stage, winning the only practice race and sprint qualifying on Friday, and the sprint competition on Saturday.

The Miami Grand Prix will take place on Sunday.

Verstappen is the overall leader with 118 points. Perez follows with 91 points, Leclair with 83 and Sainz with 73 points.

This season, 24 rounds will be held in the F-1 championship.
