The Latvian Winter Championship in throwing disciplines in athletics will take place in Ventspils

On April 6 and 7, in Ventspils, the Latvian winter championship in throwing disciplines will be held for the 18th time. For the first time, such a competition was held in 2005. During two days, athletes of four age groups will compete in the stadium and reserve field of the Olympic Center “Ventspils”: U16, U18, U20 and adults. Latvian championship titles will be won in 3 disciplines: discus, javelin and hammer throw.

It is planned that 170 athletes will participate in the competition. Ventspils sports school “Spars” will be represented in the competition by Martins Kaudze, Matīss Kaudze, Gustavs Ralfs Ofkants, Gabriela Zavicka, Markuss Matīss Zēniņš (all javelin throw), Edgars Prūsis and Arina Ariadna Tinkeviča (both discus throw).
