Toyota has arrived at the Beijing Motor Show with two new products that will be on the assembly line already this year.
Electric crossovers bZ3C and bZ3X were developed in cooperation with Chinese partners and are intended for the Chinese market, with an emphasis on younger buyers. The manufacturer does not reveal the technical characteristics, only stating that both are united by a common platform.
Toyota assisted FAW and BYD in developing the bZ3C crossover, which differs from the coupe body, while the bZ3X is a standard SUV developed in collaboration with GAC engineers.
Both innovations stand out with narrow headlights connected by an illuminated diode strip, similar-shaped and also connected rear lights, a black panoramic glass roof, as well as indentations in the area of the body arches and thresholds.
Production of the bZ3C and bZ3X is known to begin this year. The price is not yet known, but another brother of the platform, the sedan bZ3, which was created jointly with FAW and BYD and is on sale since 2023, can serve as a kind of landmark. In the basic version with a 184-horsepower electric motor and 517 kilometers of autonomy (CLTC), it costs 169.8 thousand yuan (22,350 euros), while the 245-horsepower variant combined with a 65 kilowatt-hour battery will cost the buyer 199,800 yuan (26,300 euros) for a range of approximately 616 kilometers. .
Crossover bZ4X developed for European buyers. The basic version is equipped with an electric motor on the front axle that develops 150 kW (204 horsepower), while the 71.4 kilowatt-hour battery provides a range of up to 516 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. In Latvia, the bZ4X price starts at 44,000 euros.
