In April, LFF received 10 hectares of land in Lucavsala for free use for five years. In the allotted time, the LFF must develop the documentation for the construction of the stadium, but the municipality will then have to decide on the future action with the land, for example expropriating it in favor of the federation.

The realization of the national football stadium project could cost about 44 million euros. Part of the amount would be covered by international football organizations, and LFF hopes to attract other investors as well, but the overall sources of funding for the project are not yet known.
