The President of Finland announced that Finland has become the eighth country to sign a security agreement with Ukraine. Such long-term agreements are intended to better provide financial and military assistance to Ukraine until it joins NATO.

Kyiv already has such agreements with Great Britain, France and Germany.

“We should never lose sight of the big picture – that the path to membership in the European Union and NATO for Ukraine is by definition a victory for Ukraine and a defeat for Russia and Putin. And we want to play our part in that process,” said Stubbs.

As Volodymyr Zelensky expressed on his Telegram channel, the signed agreement shows Finland’s readiness to continue supporting Ukraine.

The Finnish president also gave his assessment of the possible increase in oil prices after the attacks on Russian oil refineries.

“The only thing that Russia understands is force. Whoever is carrying out attacks on Russian territory, when asked if I am concerned about the increase in oil prices due to attacks, my answer is – no. I have no problem with that. Because in war there are always indirect damage. And as I said, whoever commits these attacks, at least they know what they are doing, because they are not attacking civilians,” the president assessed.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Ukraine visited Tallinn on Wednesday.

After a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmihal, Estonian President Alar Karis announced that Ukraine has the right to attack military and war-supporting targets inside Russia.

He also added that Russia does not limit itself in any way in attacking Ukraine.

As Shmihals stated at the press conference with his Estonian colleague Kaja Kallas, his first official visit to Estonia is mainly thanks for the support to Ukraine.

He said that currently Ukraine needs air defense and ammunition more than anything else. Shmyhals also asked Estonia to help in the restoration of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Kallas expressed his determination to support Kyiv in the future, stressing that Ukraine will become a member of both NATO and the European Union in the future.

But on Thursday, the Prime Minister of Ukraine will also visit Riga on a working visit.
