Performing ‘Hollow’, Don performed at the Eurovision warm-up event in Madrid over the weekend. Latvia’s “euro song” continues to win the hearts of fans.

26 participants of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest took part in the “PrePartyES” event. This was the first of six Eurovision warm-up events – already during these holidays, similar events with the participation of Latvia’s representative will take place in Barcelona and London. Don also plans to take part in other Eurovision warm-up events in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Eurovision warm-up events take place every year in major European cities, introducing the songs of the contestants and helping musicians to get used to the international environment.

Don spoke positively about his experience at PrePartyES: “Eurovision is loved in Spain, you can feel it. We were welcomed warmly, warmly and lovingly. These warm-up events are a great opportunity to prepare for the big competition, to appear in front of the most passionate fans of the competition and to gain essential experience – both in conversations with the media and in communication with representatives of other countries.”

The Eurovision semi-finals will take place on May 7 and 9, the final – on May 11. Latvia will perform in the second semi-final on May 9, where Malta, Albania, Greece, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Armenia, San Marino, Georgia, Belgium, Estonia, Israel, Norway and the Netherlands will also participate. The producers have announced the order of performances in the 68th international Eurovision Song Contest – it has become clear that the representative of Latvia will start in the second semi-final with the ninth number.
