Aminata together with the band “Sudden Lights” has released a sunny spring harbinger – the song “Ataust rīts”, which was written by herself and “Sudden Lights” leader Andrejs Reinis Zitmanis, and the song was produced by JJ Lush (Jānis Yachmenkins).
When such experienced musicians as Aminata and “Sudden Lights” (and also JJ Lush) get together on the international scene, the result cannot be bad at all – the stylish song “Ataust rīts” will definitely be able to draw the attention of the listeners, and will also surprise with its unique guitar sound.
“The first sketch of Ataust rīts was made a long time ago – it was inspired by receiving a happy news that made me stop in the middle of the street and record the song’s lyrics in the voice notes of the phone,” Aminata recalls. “This song has been made and processed for a long time. For a while, I thought that I would not perform it myself, but would offer it to others, but I am glad that it received its best combination – in the cooperation between me and “Sudden Lights”.
The musicians of “Sudden Lights” also have their own story about this song: “One day we received a message from Aminata – she had an idea for a song and she wanted to record it with us. Aminata is a great singer whose music has been with us for a long time, so we were very happy about this invitation. We created the lyrics of the song together, and we seemed to have a good musical chemistry right away, although there were parts of the song that we polished long and thoroughly. The melody of the song was mysterious, intimate and at the same time full of tension – the text was like that too. About winter and spring in us, in our relationships and about finding something lost again.”
