singer Don performed at the Eurovision warm-up event in Madrid over the weekend, performing the song “Hollow”, which continues to win the hearts of fans. In five weeks, Don will represent Latvia at the 68th international Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.

26 participants of this year’s competition took part in the “PrePartyES” event. This was the first of six Eurovision warm-up events, and in the coming holidays, a similar event with the participation of Latvia’s representative will take place both in Barcelona and London. Don also plans to take part in other Eurovision warm-up events in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Don spoke positively about the experience he gained in “PrePartyES”: “Eurovision is loved in Spain, you can feel it. We were welcomed warmly, warmly and lovingly. These warm-up events are a great opportunity to prepare for the big contest, show ourselves to the most passionate fans of the contest and gain essential experience – both in conversations with the media , and in communication with representatives of other countries.”

Eurovision warm-up events take place every year in major European cities, introducing the songs of the contestants and helping artists to get used to the international environment.

Last week, the producers announced the line-up for the 68th International Eurovision Song Contest. It became clear that the representative of Latvia will start with the ninth seed in the second semi-final.

On February 10, the singer Don became the winner of the Latvian Television song contest “Supernova 2024” live with the song “Hollow”, getting the opportunity to represent Latvia in the 68th international Eurovision Song Contest. The musician will perform in the second semi-final on May 9, where Malta, Albania, Greece, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Armenia, San Marino, Georgia, Belgium, Estonia, Israel, Norway and the Netherlands will also participate. The first semi-final of Eurovision will be held on May 7, the final – on May 11.
