VIDEO: China has created a copy of a popular European resort

China never ceases to amaze. A copy of a popular European resort has been created in this country, The Sun reports.

About 7,081 kilometers from the popular Greek island of Santorini, a copy of it has been created in China.

A replica of Santorini is located on the edge of the Kangsan mountain range, opposite Lake Erha.

The created resort on the shore of the lake has also been called “fake Santorini”. There are white cobblestone alleys and houses decorated with blue windows, just like on a Greek island.

“Fake Santorini” or Dali also has a similar climate to Greece. The only thing that makes this place significantly different from Santorini is that there is no Aegean Sea, no volcano, and it is impossible to watch equally impressive sunsets.

The sunny Greek island is a particularly popular wedding destination for Chinese couples, which is why nearly £1 billion may have been spent to build a replica of it in Yunnan province.

Dali has become a popular resort for local and foreign tourists – especially for those who cannot afford the expensive authentic resort. Chinese media describe Dali as “a resort town with beautiful scenery and Santorini-style buildings.”
