A psychologist is trying to prove that former US President Donald Trump has dementia by sending a petition to medical and mental health specialists, “mirror.co.uk” writes.
A psychologist who petitioned medical and mental health professionals to diagnose former US President Donald Trump with dementia has compared Trump to the Wizard of Oz, saying Trump is “feeble-minded” and “unable to do his job”.
“Trump is very manic. He has this energy and charisma,” psychologist Gartner told TheMirror.com. “But he’s actually more like the Wizard of Oz. He looks strong, but he doesn’t pay attention to this demented man behind the curtain. When you peel back that curtain and people see him for who he really is, not strong but cognitively weak, I’d say he is no longer just unfit for the job – he is no longer capable of doing the job.”
Gartner said Trump simply “doesn’t have the mental capacity to understand the job,” adding that he could be “easily manipulated by anyone.” This is exactly what Putin, for example, is counting on, the expert said in an interview with “TheMirror.com”.
Gartner created a petition on Change.org for medical or mental health professionals only.
“We Diagnose Trump with Possible Dementia: A Petition for Licensed Professionals Only” has been widely circulated on social media by Gartner and his political action organization Duty To Warn, which was created to serve as a “warning on Trumpism.”
He said many have risked their professional careers to sign the petition, while others fear they will be fired for signing.
“These are medical whistleblowers,” he said. “I think they are heroes because each of these people took a professional and personal risk to put their name out there and sign this petition.”
