This battle for the first seed has been exciting to follow all season, as neither Denver, Oklahoma City, nor Minnesota has allowed any separation to be created. While getting the first seed would be optimal, the Nuggets trust their ability to beat any team in a playoff series, even if they have to start on the road. Home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs has essentially been clinched by Denver, but securing it as deep into the playoffs as possible is always a good thing.
This game against the Cavaliers should be an exciting one, because Cleveland is also looking to optimize their seeding.
