“Zaluzhny donated $1 million to the military this month from an inheritance he received from Ukrainian-American Hrykhory Stepanets, according to a statement from the Stepanets family,” the NYT reported.
The press service of the Armed Forces confirmed the fact of this donation.
“I have donated my whole life to the Armed Forces. And I had no doubts about what I would do with this legacy. The purpose of Hrykhory’s will was obviously to support the Ukrainian army in my person,” said Zaluzhny.
