The award, named after former basketball players Jack Twyman and Maurice Stokes (Twyman–Stokes Teammate of the Year Award), has been presented since 2012/13. seasons of the year.
The NBA press service has announced 12 finalists who have been nominated for the “Teammate of the Year” award this season. Among them is Minnesota Timberwolves quarterback Mike Conley, who won the award in 2019.
The 37-year-old Al Horfords, a teammate of Kristaps Porzingis in the Boston Celtics, is also among the nominees.
The winner of the “Teammate of the Year” award will be determined by a poll of NBA players.
