Finnish hockey league (Liiga) team “Jukurit”, in which a Latvian played last season Oskar Batnia, https://twitter.com/MikkelinJukurit/status/1775063942064123950 due to parting with the head coach Oli Jokinen, his assistants Toni Lidman and Mika Hivarinen will not continue working at the club.
In the past season, “Jukurit” finished in fifth place in the main tournament, but in the quarter-finals, they lost 2-4 to “Karpat”, which took the fourth position.
Jokinen led “Jukurit” for three seasons, it was his first experience as a head coach at the professional level.
Batna 2023/2024. made rapid progress in the 2018 season, scoring 38 (20+18) points in 59 games in the main tournament, and three assists in six “play-off” matches. For comparison, 2022/2023 in the season of 2008, Batņa collected only 14 (4+10) productivity points.
It was previously announced that this was Batni’s last season in the ranks of “Jukurit”, as the striker has already reached an agreement with the Czech League team “Mountfield”.
