In the third end, the Slovaks recovered one point, but the Latvian national team answered with three scored points in the fourth and two points in the fifth end, reaching 9:1. Slovakia did not give up and played back three points in the next end, but Latvia responded with the same in the seventh end, and the teams agreed not to play the remaining three ends.
