In their fourth match, Latvians beat Slovenia 8:1. After the first end, the Slovenians were in the lead with 1:0, but in the continuation, only the Latvian national team scored points, as the match ended after the sixth end.

In the second game of the day, the Latvians also defeated Slovakia with 12:4. The Latvian team started the game with three scored points, scoring another point in the second end. In the third end, the Slovaks recovered one point, but the Latvian national team answered with three scored points in the fourth and two points in the fifth end, reaching 9:1. Slovakia did not give up and played back three points in the next end, but Latvia responded with the same in the seventh end, and the teams agreed not to play the remaining three ends.

It has already been reported that the Latvian national team with skipper Evelina Baroni, as well as Rēzia Ieviņa, Veronika Apsi, Marija Seįverstova and Leticija Ieviņa started the tournament with victories over Hungary (7:5) and Belgium (12:2), and in the third match with 4: 6 had to admit the superiority of England. With four wins in five games, Latvia takes second place in the ten-team tournament. The Latvians will meet Poland on Tuesday, Austria and Finland on Wednesday, and Lithuania on Thursday.

Last year, the Latvians started in the A division, without winning in nine games. The Latvian men’s national team is also participating in the B division championship in Perth, which beat Poland 6-5 on Monday, achieving its third victory in four matches.
