Latvian tennis players Darja Semenistaja and Daniela Vismane have moved up by one position in the latest WTA ranking, while there are no changes at the top of the ranking and Alyona Ostapenko maintains 13th place, where she will also end the season.
Latvia’s second racket Semenistaja climbed to 136th place, and Vismane to 373rd position, while the rest of the Latvian tennis players experienced a drop in the ranking. Diana Marcinkeviča has lost three places and occupies the 375th position, Anna Ozerova has fallen by one place and is 1039th, Kamilla Barton has slipped four places lower and is 1141st, Margarita Ignatieva has fallen by three places (1164th), and Valerija Kargin – by five (1302).
There have been no changes in the top 30 and the first is still the Polish Iga Šviontek, followed by the independent athlete Arina Sabalenka and the American Coco Goff. Yelena Rybakina from Kazakhstan is fourth, American athlete Jessica Pegula is fifth. Onsa Jabert from Tunisia is sixth, Marketa Vondroushova from the Czech Republic is seventh, her compatriot Karolina Muhova is eighth, Maria Sakari from Greece is still ninth, and the top ten is completed by one more Czech player Barbora Krejcikova.
In the doubles ranking, Ostapenko maintains the 36th place, 12 positions lower than Vismane (177th) last week, while Darja Semenistaja has moved up two places and occupies the 201st position.
Marcinkeviča lost one place (224th), while Ignatjeva (864th) is 47 places lower. Ozerova experienced a drop of one position (1046th), Kamilla Barton retreated by 87 places (1183rd), and Marija Semenistaja rose three places (1494th).
