“Riga” extends the contract with the defender of the Latvian national team Chernomordi

The team’s announcement states that a long-term contract has been concluded with Chernomordy. The 26-year-old defender joined “Riga” in the summer of 2016 and since then he has played a total of 156 games in which he scored nine goals and assisted four times.

Also, Černomordijs together with “Riga” won three Latvian championship titles and once helped the Riga team to triumph in the Latvian Cup. He is also the captain of the Latvian national team and has scored one goal in 29 matches for the national team. With 38 points in 14 games, “Riga” takes the first place in the football league table, ahead of the closest follower, RFS, by four points.
