The game in the “Volvo” hall will start at 7:30 p.m., with live broadcast on the “Sportacentrs.com” portal.
On Sunday, in the first match of the championship, the Latvians lost to Slovakia with a score of 1:7, but on Monday they beat Italy with a score of 3:2 in the second match. Slovenian hockey players started the tournament with a victory over Poland (4:1) and a loss to Slovakia (0:4).
The Latvian national team will meet Poland on April 5 and will conclude the tournament with a match against Great Britain on April 6.
In preparation for this tournament, Latvian ice hockey players played a test match against Poland on Friday and won 3:0.
A year ago, the Latvian national team won in Mexico City in Group A of the second division of the World Championship and advanced to Group B of the first division. Slovakia, on the other hand, played in Group A of the first division last year, but ended the tournament without a win and slipped to Group B.
The world championship in the B group of the first division, which is the third in the ranking of world championships for women, will be held in the “Volvo” hall from March 31 to April 6.
The team that won the first place will play in the A group of the first division next season, while the team that will remain last will play in the A group of the second division in 2025.
Coaches Ahto Karna, Paulis Zvirgzdiņš and Vladislavs Koniševs help Hanna Saintulas in his work with the Latvian national team.
