• The Latvians were the first to take the lead when Agnese Apsīte scored in the 14th minute.

• At the beginning of the second period, the Slovenians equalized the score, but in the middle of the period, two unanswered goals from Latvia gave the home team a more serious advantage – 3:1. Anna Lagdziņa and Līga Miljonė scored accurate shots.

• Only 63 seconds later, Slovenia reduced its deficit to a minimum, but at the end of the third period it was also 3-3.

• No goals were scored in the final twenty minutes of regular time. None of the teams won even in the additional five minutes, but the Slovenians were superior in post-game shots, making two of the six bulls, while the Latvian hockey players were accurate in only one attempt.

• Līga Miljone and Sāra Konfidenti were recognized as the best players of the match.

• Latvian ice hockey players led by Hannu Saintulas experienced their second loss in three world championship matches.

• On April 5, Latvian ice hockey players will compete against Poland, and a day later they will examine Great Britain.
