In order to carry out successful management and provide support for ensuring the quality of the educational institutions of the city of Ventspils, to collect and analyze information about the quality of education in the administrative territory of the municipality of the city of Ventspils, the education development strategy of the city of Ventspils for 2024-2030 is being developed, and on Thursday, March 28, Ventspils the municipal council of the state city made a decision to submit it for public consultation, which will last from April 8 to May 7, 2024.
The education development strategy of Ventspils city for 2024-2030 will ensure the achievement of the goals set in the Educational Development Guidelines and the overarching goal set in the sustainable development strategy of Ventspils city municipality and Ventspils county municipality until 2030. The purpose of developing the strategy is to identify the actual situation in the municipality in the context of the network of educational institutions, anticipating its improvement and defining future development priorities and directions in accordance with the support mechanisms provided at the national level. Thus, support will be provided to the educational institutions of the Ventspils state city, creating a supportive, creative, dynamic, competitive, excellence-oriented educational space of the Ventspils state city, in which everyone’s growth throughout life is supported.
The aforementioned document can be found on the homepage of the municipality of Ventspils at www.ventspils.lv HERE and on the portal geolatvija.lv. On the other hand, the document is available in printed format at the Ventspils municipal authority “Ventspils domes administration”, Jūras street 36, Ventspils, (on the 1st floor by the attendant) and at the Ventspils municipal authority “Ventspils Education Administration”, Raina street 10, Ventspils, (2nd floor) floor) during the working hours of the institutions.
Written proposals for the 1st edition of the education development strategy of the city of Ventspils for 2024-2030 can be submitted by May 7, 2024 inclusive:
