Margarita Stāraste, who turns 110 years old this year, wrote a lovely book of fairy tales “Lācīša Rūcīša raibā diena” about the adventures of a toy bear in the forest, while Imants Ziedonis, whose 90th anniversary was widely celebrated in Latvia last year, with his fairy tale full of good-natured humor “Kroko and Dils ” surprises and stimulates the imagination of both young and old readers.

Listening to both fairy tales in audiobook recordings and readings by educators, children indulged in adventures, pranks and miracles together with the characters of the books, and then with the help of pencils and colors, they recreated the enchanted world of the fairy tales on paper. The authors of book illustrations are between 4 and 7 years old.

We invite you to enjoy art in Daugavpils libraries!
