25-year-old transgender actress Hunter Schaefer rose to fame playing transgender Jules on HBO’s hit teen drama Euphoria. Well, the actress says that she no longer wants to play transgender people, reports the BBC.
Now, the popular actress wants to move on because she doesn’t want transgender portrayals to become her main acting roles. “I’ve worked so hard to get where I am, overcoming these really tough ones [dzimuma] transition points. Now I just want to be a girl and finally move on.”
The actress is aware that she is currently the brightest star in the media who has changed gender. “I feel a sense of responsibility, and maybe a little bit of guilt, for not talking about this topic as much.” However, Hunter believes that not putting being transgender at the center of everything will get her further. It will be much more useful if he continues to do exciting work in the interests of the transgender movement, instead of just talking about it all the time.
