On March 18, several news appeared in many places about the unexpected death of Charles III, which, fortunately, turned out to be false. But it sure got a lot of people worried because he was recently diagnosed with a serious ailment. Therefore, the question is quite logical – what fate awaits Camilla if she outlives her husband?

Longevity is in King Charles III’s genes – his father, Prince Philip, died in 2021 at the age of 99, just two months short of his centenary, and his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, at the age of 96.

However, when King Charles III actually passed away, the entire line of succession of the British royal family would change. Prince William will immediately become the monarch, as was the case with his father after the death of Elizabeth II, and it is expected that Kate Middleton will then continue to be known as the Queen Consort. What role would then be given to the current monarch’s wife, Queen Camilla?
