Already this weekend, on April 6, a concert dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the legend of Latvian rock music and the long-time leader and songwriter of the group “Līvi” Ainars Virga will be held in the arena of the Liepāja Olympic Center – right on the musician’s birthday!

In preparation for his big concert, Ainars Virga, together with the author of many of his song lyrics and childhood friend Guntars Rača, recorded an autobiographical song “Vēl đenu reiz'”, in which he sang what would happen if fate gave him the opportunity to live one more time. It must be said right away that this song will create the greatest interest precisely with Ainar’s revelations in the text, as well as the historical footage seen in the video version, because musically it draws to the repertoire of green balls.

“Ainara and I have written together “Ozolam”, “Kādā brinīškas dinā”, “Es kārajos tavās bēze”, “Golden heart” and several dozen more songs, mostly serious and “Livish” heavy. This time we decided that it’s time to play around a bit and write something entertaining, but at the same time a little philosophical. What if God gave us a chance to live again? Would we repeat old mistakes or do things completely differently? Ainars sings that he wouldn’t change many things, but the most important thing is that, living a second time, he would immediately know where to look for real love,” says Guntars Rach, the author of the song’s lyrics.

The recording was produced by Ainars himself in cooperation with Gati Gaujenieks and Gintas Stankevičas, he also created the text video himself – in cooperation with “İZİ Media”. The singers of the trio “Orange girls” Inta Gudovska, Anita Levša and Olga Stupiņa also took part in the recording.

The big concert in Liepāja, named “Liepājniex”, will feature the group “Līvi”, as well as special guests – the group “Liepājas brāhdi”, guest musicians Olga Rajecka, Tomas Klein, Modris Šterns, Uldis Marhilevičs, “Strong Wives”, Durbes chamber choir and many others. The event will be hosted by the Latvian karaoke and motorcycle master Aivars Freimanis or Frīdis. It should be noted that the “Liepājniex” concert will also be performed in the summer – on July 22 in the Dzintari concert hall.
