“There was a period when we lived on Brīvības street for half a year, there is one house there, we lived there in one small room, the three of us, my son Lenny and I and Inga, and an old lady also lived in that apartment. In order not to pay rent, we cleaned the area there. Then the lady left in the sun, and the owner of the house turned off the electricity, she didn’t care at all. The heat was turned off. The whole house was left without heat,” Intar shares his memories.
It was not enough that the heat was turned off in the house, one cold winter day the radiators in this apartment exploded in one of the rooms. Busulis realized that there was no point in cleaning because there was a lot of water. After this event, the house was without water for about half a year, so we had to go to the nearest gas tank with buckets behind us.
